procedure:

Use a ruler and the knift with no pressure to mark the path to follow. Then use the knift with first very light, then increasing pressure a number of times. In the end break the plexy-glass at that spot. This gets much moe exact then trying to simply cut through in one try (the material can resist you quite much ;) ).
